DOVE COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE

DOVE Health Centre is catering to the health needed of people around the area. The DOVE Health team is running the health centre by providing curative and preventive aspects of health, periodically medical camps are conducted and people are screened off for diseases. Simple diseases are treated at the centre and sever cases are normally referred to government headquarters hospitals. Patients from 20 villages avail this facility and get treated. Also DOVE health team with the help of government health personnel conduct periodic checkups in local schools and malnutrition and other specific health problems for students attended and treatment offered . Further during seasonal outbreak of fever especially during winter time preventive steps and treatment are given. Now at the covid-19 outbreak, campaign activities are going on and suspected cases are referred to government run centers for covid-19 testing.

In order to deliver advanced heath care covering a wide area a project was sent to Medshare agency in the US for medical supplies and equipment. This health project was scrutinized successfully and a 40 foot container with selected medical supplies are sanctioned. The invoice for the medical supplies for the 40 foot container has been generated and send to DOVE. But DOVE finds it difficult to collect the donation to pay the 40,000 US Dollar, needed to clear the fright charger for the container. Once this hurdle is cleared, a 50 bedded DOVE Hospital will start functioning. This Hospital will serve both diagnostic and emergency medical needs people covering three districts of Southern Tamilnadu. Specialized Doctors and Surgeon could be availed as visiting consultants to give a comprehensive medical treatment for a number of health issues. The present health scenario in our area is very poor as people suffer a lot at times of medical emergency and for treating diseases which needs comprehensive diagnostic and hospitalization
